Captain Bancroft couldn’t believe this resort. The beaches were pristine. The rooms were comfortable. Everything was so relaxing. The only area off limits was the northern beaches and an area they called the trench. He asked a Mr. Jones why. Mr. Jones told him that since he was head of security. He would take him out to the cliffs and show him the reason. While out there they saw a large sea bird flying over the water. That was when a large shark leaped from the water and snatched it from the air. Mr. Jones pointed out that is why the northern beaches and the trench were off limits. Bancroft decided that was a good reason. The rest of the crew was just having a good time. Mrs. Svedberg ran the resort like a general. The service staff seemed happy, despite the fact that she seemed demanding to work for. He also was confused by the large canus that seemed to have free run of the island. Till he was told they were part of the security detail. Yet, he liked what he saw. These Maxumus were good at what they did. Bancroft decided he was a lucky bear. At the very least his life would probably never be boring. He was going to be right.

It is 1967 when a feud begins that could lead to the death of the one-hundred-year-old Chesterton county fair. When veteran reporter Art James is sent to investigate, he immediately delves into a case that will take him six days and hopefully provide him with a much-coveted feature story byline. Bob soon learns that the county is interested in selling the fairgrounds and that there are as many proponents as opponents to the sale. As Art interviews fairgoers, volunteers, and leaders, he unearths a conspiracy to hide the truth from the public until an agreement can be arranged between the county and a trucking firm. While Art's feature articles win him welcome bylines, he becomes even more determined to stop the sham, before it is too late. To complicate matters even further, Art becomes smitten with fair volunteer, Jenny Glen. As the last night of the fair arrives, the future is decided-not just for the fair, but for Art and Jenny as well. In this compelling story, an investigative reporter on a quest to uncover the truth about the demise of a county fair finds love while uncovering a conspiracy led by greed and deception.

Amid the glittering fjords and majestic mountains of Norway, this stunning series delves into the loves, battles, and dreams of the Viking clans—powerful men and women who believed in the call of the flesh as well as the soul…

It was said that the man who could look into Silvi Ivarsdottir’s eyes would be meant for her. Powerful jarl Magnus Sigrundson knows he is that man, and that Silvi’s dowry can give him the ships, swords, and silver he needs for his trading empire. Yet beautiful Silvi’s dream is not to be a wife, but a Priestess of the gods for the great temple at Uppsala. Who dares interfere with such passion? The answer lies in Silvi herself, in the way her body awakens to Magnus’ touch, in the way she inspires a reverence he didn’t know he possessed—and in the battles she takes on when she journeys to his mountain home of Thorsfjell.

But soon a dangerous, deceitful enemy threatens to shatter. Now they face another quest: can they find each other again—and dare live and love in each other’s worlds?

I live just north of Ocala, Florida, the Horse Capitol of the World. I have a herd of fat, lazy Arabians (and the occasional Thoroughbred) on 40 beautiful acres. One of the Arabians actually works for a living— Ivory Shaddara ++++//, AKA “Dumpling”. We show at Arabian shows all over the eastern US at the Regional and National level. I also have a bunch of spoiled German Shepherds which I enjoy showing.  We’re joined by a variety of turtles, tortoises and some very obnoxious cockatiels.

To avoid farm work as much as possible, I keep busy with other interests: writing Romance novels, illustrating, playing the harp, keyboard and guitar, creating jewelry, and building Victorian dollhouses. I studied Iaido, the art of Japanese swordsmanship, for many years and  I also love beadwork, needlework, photography, cake decorating and amateur astronomy. There are too many possibilities in this world to do only one or two things in life.

I have been a professional fantasy illustrator and have won many awards for my work. I am the Secretary of the Ocala Arabian Horse Association, and am on the Board of Directors of the White German Shepherd Dog Club of America. I am a member of the Romance Writers of America and the Tampa Area Romance Authors.

But even with all this, at the end of the day I still find the time to just sit on my Victorian porch, surrounded by my dogs, watching the horses graze under the moss-covered oaks. And as I greet my beloved stars, I dream of the songs, stories and visions the coming night will bring…

What inspired me to write Amelia’s Prayer is really quite difficult to pinpoint. Storytelling has always been a part of me—like the colour of my eyes or hair, part of my DNA. I cannot remember a time when I did not tell stories! As a child I was nicknamed chatterbox, I would wander out of the house, up the street, knocking on people’s doors asking if they would come out to play. We could sit on the wall and tell stories. It was not unusual for strangers to bring me home!
Most of my life I have thought about creating stories, poems, and sometimes plays--not always capable of executing the ideas that were formed within my mind for various different reasons; however, I was always able to tell the story. Amelia’s Prayer is a true work of love and passion.
Throughout my lifetime, I have been fortunate enough to meet some amazing human beings, either through life’s journey, my work, or within my own family, extended family and friends. I have had the privilege and the honour to listen to many voices, both young and old and wise over the years, often triggering myriad of ideas through my mind in various different forms, family members and my husband encouraging me to write a book.
Several years ago I was fortunate enough to be introduced to and author by the name of Joyce Holmes, who writes detective stories. I told Joyce of my interest in writing a book, and how I felt rather inexperienced. Joyce inspired me and helped me to understand that I was more than capable. We spent a lovely lazy afternoon on the balcony of her beautiful home in the mountains in Provence. I shall always be grateful to Joyce for validating my abilities. That afternoon she sent me away, waving goodbye and believing that I could indeed write a novel. As she waved to me her message was, “I shall see you at the book launch!”
Simplicity is the essence to a reader connecting to a story something we can all reach out to and identify with Amelia’s Prayer is a compilation of all of that life, love, family, betrayal, forgiveness, and ultimately unconditional love!

Meet the Author:

Christiane Banks lives in Ontario, Canada, with her husband. Amelia's Prayer, which took six years to write, is her debut novel.

Private Eye Frank Lamb's business is simple: He finds things. Be it the world’s hottest pepper seed in a South American dictator's safe or a pair of Italian art forgers sipping Prosecco in a Miami hotel room, he delivers the goods and collects his check, never with a smile. Work is work, and he doesn’t let it get in the way of the life he’s made for himself and his ten-year-old daughter, Sadie.

But when a staggeringly beautiful woman offers him a small fortune to find a cassette tape, curiosity gets the better of him. It contains, she explains, a recording her sister’s kidnapper made of her last three minutes on Earth. She conveniently fails to mention the unsettling effects the tape is rumored to have on listeners.

Frank takes the case, and enlists the help of reclusive tracker Courtney Lavagnino to pick up a trail that's been cold for five years. As their search leads them through a horrifying labyrinth of murder and madness, it becomes clear they're chasing much more than a memento.

Exploding the Big Bang Theory

Title: Exploding the Big Bang Theory
Author: Joseph Donnelly

Genre: Religion
Format: Ebook

The essence of this my third effort at publication now stands to be the true basis of our human species new working philosophy. My main interest is of our relationship with God on all fronts. Simple when realised we under the split headings of humanity in tribe, clan, national or of different skin colour configurations, have amassed over 10.000 religious philosophies to meet our personal needs. Of which none seem to work for all over the limit of tribe, clan national or colour configuration?! Because of the very modern sophisticated trend of rejecting God, generally understood to have been the creator; and in using the guessed at elements of how science really works or had been given credit for how it must work. Many in that field of study have felt qualified enough to snub those 10,000 religions by stating there never is or was God in any case? My personal stand and standards revolve around humanity in us, getting the understanding of God right in the first place, but slightly askew in the opinion we were expressly chosen by God to promote enlightenment upon the universe! Yes we got it right, there is God, and no arguments can be valid against this acceptance. To endorse that statement I have been able and commit my to be our understanding of how and why God set the clock of creation from the beginning of all time, now scientifically proved by us, through the open discovery of the God particle, much more than a scientific phenomena? . Part of my style and method stands to the terms of all religions in best choice to be monotheistic by character. This fits with the full progress of all histories naturally connecting with the future of self. Self to be the individuals we each are, but hailed to be of species over tribe, clan, colour or national. Our monotheistic relationship stands also to self, in that however we are in style by colour or creed. We will meet to be the same image of God as seen in self, but only able to manage that wonderful spectacle on Gods terms from our solid belief in God, reality, and our future! See what you think, when from now you can also evaluate the latest of sciences exposé’s over and above some of the scientific ranting of how any form of intelligent life began, but more importantly, why, remembering we are here on Gods terms not ours!

Praise for The Bomb That Never Was

“Hitler has the bomb, and it's headed for the USA. This meticulously researched historical novel will have you asking, ‘What if?' This is an intelligent, fast-paced page-turner that will make you forget that you already know how it all turns out. Provocative, informative, and entertaining—I couldn't put it down.” —Joseph P. DeSario, author of Limbo and Sanctuary and coauthor of Crusade: Undercover Against the Mafia & KGB

“Authoritative and credible in its attention to detail, The Bomb That Never Was captures the spirit and temper of the WWII years and raises some deep philosophical questions about loyalty, treason, and commitment to country. A page-turner … tough to put down … a story well told.” —Robert L. Aaron, journalist and public relations executive

When all sorts of accusations, denials, revelations, disclosures, and leaks are swarming and spilling around the security agencies of the United Kingdom and the USA, it is worse when the Snowden effect erupts. A bruised and slightly disillusioned Commander Elaine Black, training officer and senior security advisor at GCHQ Bude Listening Facility, is plunged into a bewildering and dangerous battle to make sense of and counter a desperate threat to British Security. Headless bodies, fire bombings, threats of chemical warfare unloosed on a small West Country town, apparently straightforward murders and the killing of a policeman make Elaine Black thankful for the involvement of a pair of incorruptible and driven police detectives and the experience and expertise that they bring to the party. However, as the stakes get higher and higher, Elaine is further gratified to have two old fighting companions on side. The question is, can the team confound the multinational conspiracy that stretches to the highest echelons of British and American financial and political establishments?
